London volunteers busy at ceremonial events
Members of London District have been
busy keeping Londoners safe at ceremonial events in the
heart of the capital.
Proud to be involved in the celebrations
Throughout June London District deployed first aiders and
ambulances at the Major General's Review and Beating Retreat, which
are held as precursors to Her Majesty The Queen's Official Birthday
celebrations.
At Trooping The Colour, 100
Volunteers, five ambulances and seven treatment centres
were in place to make sure that the event was enjoyed in
safety.
On the day, 39 people were treated,
three of which were taken to hospital.
Ann Cable, Commissioner of St John Ambulance
London (Prince of Wales's) District, said: 'We are extremely proud
to be involved with these historical celebrations.'
