Nottingham volunteers help set world record
On Saturday 14th April St John Ambulance
volunteers from City division, Nottingham helped set a new world
record for the number of people dressed as Robin Hood gathered in
the same place.
The adjudicators from the Guinness Book of World Records
confirmed that the new world record stands at 165
people which included St John Ambulance members Sarah
Jones and Malcolm Sims who were on duty at the event.
The event was held by the statue of Robin Hood outside
Nottingham Castle and had a wide range of people taking part
aged from 15 months to 60 years and included the
official Robins from Nottingham and Dr George from BBC's Street
Doctor
Participants has
to wear green or brown tunics and tights (or trousers), brown boots
and a robin hood hat complete with feather. St John Ambulance
members who were on duty in their green uniforms donned
their Robin Hood hats to join in the record attempt.
Anna blackwell from The Nottingham, who organised the vent, said
"we are really pleased to have set the record and
wish to thank everyone who came along to take part".
