Youth leader roles
What will you
be doing this evening? You could be helping a young
person achieve their potential through the St John Ambulance youth
programme if you join our team.
Nearly half of St John Ambulance’s members are aged under 18.
There are St John Ambulance groups for young people all round
Oxfordshire. These are the St John Ambulance Badgers for ages five to 10, and St John
Ambulance Cadets for ages 10 to 18.
Training and guidance
I love working with young people, seeing them develop skills and self-confidence. We provide a fun and supportive environment.

Training for new leaders takes place over a weekend and they are
then supported by an experienced leader as they settle
in. Leaders are provided with a complete syllabus including
subject guidance, example activities, and sources of additional
information. The majority of St John Ambulance youth leaders
specialise in youth work. They’re not required to go on first
aid duties, and they don’t have to wear
a uniform.
We need need motivated volunteers to
deliver the youth programme. Acceptance is subject to
references and an enhanced-level CRB check, and full training is
provided. To find out more, call us on 01865

enquiry form.
