16-25 programme

St John Ambulance volunteers are an integral part of our community

You can stay in a Cadet group until you are 18, or you can start attending an adult unit.

What's available

From the age of 16, you can start attending meetings at an adult unit, train for the adult first aider role and work towards various awards.

Those aged between 18 and 25 become full adult members of St John Ambulance and will normally be part of their local adult unit.

If they wish, they can work towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards are available).  They can also work towards a St John Ambulance Award, the Amalfi Award

This involves setting their own goals and challenges in four areas: service, challenge, relationships and society.
