Tanzania
St John Ambulance - Staffordshire are
supporting St John Association of Tanzania through the
STAPLE
project.
Tanzania urgently needs equipment
including first aid kits, stretchers and blankets. They also need
resources to help train volunteers not only in first aid but to
become first aid trainers themselves.
Through the Programme we have the
opportunity to assist this poor developing nation and meet their
needs to expand and develop St John Ambulance in Tanzania, as part
of our worldwide family.
The
STAPLE
project is
currently working to achieve:
- A generator to pump water up the hill for
irrigation
- A rubber tank to reserve water for
irrigation
- Money to buy insect killers and sprayers
- A home for young members to live in the farm
area
