Want to join us?
If you are interested in becoming a St
John Ambulance Community First Responder then email us or
call us on 07903 215777.
You need to:
- be aged 18 or older
- hold a valid, full UK drivers license
- be prepared to undertake an enhanced Criminal Records
Bureau check
- be prepared to take our
CFR
course.
You will be asked to attend a welcome evening and introduction
to St John Ambulance. You will then be required to
take our
CFR
course. Normally they run over a series of weekends,
approximately two per year. They are four days in length and
you will learn everything you need to know about responding on
behalf of St John Ambulance. All successful
CFRs
spend a shift with an
ambulance crew before going live.
We need your contact details and the postcode of the address you
would like to respond from. We will then let you know whether
we are recruiting Responders in your area. We can also have a
chat about responding, answer any questions you have and send you
the relevant application forms.
