CLIC Sargent PJ 5k 2007

The Start

We were proud to provide first aid cover for the 5k pyjama walk on 22nd September 2007 to help a national charity who support  children and their families nationwide who are diagnosed with cancer.

It was a great day, with VIP Patsy Palmer kicking the race off in the great sunshine.

The PJ 5K was part of Yummy Mummy week, where mums accross the country had the chance to take part in different fundraising events for CLIC Sargent.

The race had over 170 competitors ranging from tots to adults with a bouncy castle and other childrens amusements, a stage and also Brighton's Juice 107.2 broadcasting live from the event.

The event raised approximately £10,000 for CLIC Sargent and money is still coming in!

We were glad that we only had to treat a couple of patients on the day in the great weather. We have already been asked to provide the first aid cover for next years event and hopefully we might even have some people taking part!
