Busy Bank Holiday for volunteers
The extra day off gave many people across
the country a chance to put their feet up and recover from a hard
week at work. But spare a thought for our volunteers, some of whom
put in over 30 hours of volunteering, before returning to their day
jobs on Tuesday morning.
Birmingham Pride
Last Thursday St John Ambulance volunteers were asked to
provide first aid cover by the organisers of
Birmingham Pride for the Saturday and Sunday of the bank
holiday weekend.
Volunteers turned out in force to help the festivities run
smoothly and provide first aid for those who didn't have such a
fortunate weekend.
Kings of Leon
Following two days of festivities, some of our volunteers were
called upon to provide first aid cover for the Kings of Leon
concert at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry .
As well as these large events, St John Ambulance also had
volunteers being the difference at other events across the West
Midlands, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
Feedback
If you encountered our volunteers at the weekend, we'd like to
hear from you. Please contact us and let
us know how we made a difference to your life.
