Coventry pilot honoured
St John Ambulance were amongst hundreds
of mourners who turned out at Coventry Cathedral to pay
tribute to Flight Lieutenant Sean
Cunningham.
Saluting party
Volunteers from several St John Ambulance units in the
Coventry area were proud and privileged to be
asked to participate in a saluting party at the funeral of
Flight Lieutenant Sean Cunningham.
The funeral of Flt Lt Cunningham, a Red Arrows
pilot and a Gulf War veteran, took place on 1
December at Coventry Cathedral and hundreds of
people turned out to pay their respects and bid him farewell.
Honoured
The Coventry sector of St John Ambulance has developed a
tradition for honouring members of all military
and civilian services whose funerals are held in the city, and were
honoured to take part in this tribute.
Members of St John Ambulance were also on hand to deliver
first aid at the service, ensuring the safety of
all those who attended.
