Vehicle fleet expands

 Ambulance with chaplain

St John Ambulance in the West Midlands has recently gained several new additions to it's ever expanding vehicle fleet, and on Sunday 8 May the vehicles were blessed according to St John Ambulance tradition.

The County Commander Keith Hunter and the Commander Operations Paul Bytheway were amongst those present as County Chaplain Mark Pryce blessed the vehicles which included the new county minibus, three new front line ambulances, and the new bariatric ambulance.

The bariatric ambulance is a particularly exciting addition to the county as it is the first time that we have had such a vehicle, which is fortified so that it can carry patients of an extremely obese nature.

New additions to the St John Ambulance vehicle fleet are traditionally blessed to welcome the vehicle and to help ensure a safe journey for all who travel in them.
