Seizures - resources and lesson plans

A seizure is also known as a fit or a convulsion. This can happen because of:

  • • epilepsy
  • • a head injury
  • • alcohol poisoning
  • • diabetes.

Lesson overview – seizures

This teaching resource helps your students to know what to look out for and how to treat somebody having a fit.

The lesson plan is split into short activities to help students understand the symptoms of a seizure, with suggested open questions to encourage them to think about the appropriate treatment.
