SMS terms and conditions
If you have sent a text to request a free guide:
Thank you for texting to request your free first aid guide. We
will call you within the next two weeks to arrange delivery
and to talk to you about supporting St John Ambulance.
Please note: We are currently experiencing a high level of
demand for the first aid guides, please allow up to 28 days for
delivery. Thank you for your patience.
Any text you send in relation to the first aid guide will be
charged at your standard network rate; the charge will show on your
bill and the sender will show as a five
digit number, not St John Ambulance. You will not be
charged for texts received from St John Ambulance.
If you have sent a text to make a £1 donation
Texts will be charged at £1 plus one message at your
standard network rate; the charge will show on your bill
and the sender will show as a five digit number,
not St John Ambulance. A minimum of 95p will be
donated to the charity once network providers have taken out their
costs.
If you have sent a text to make a £3 donation
Texts will be charged at £3 plus one message at your
standard network rate; the charge will show on your bill
and the sender will show as a five digit number,
not St John Ambulance. A minimum of £2.96 will be donated to the
charity once network providers have taken out their costs.
General terms
By contacting us via text you consent to us getting in touch
with you to request delivery details and tell you about our work
and how you can support us.
St John Ambulance will not be liable for delays or failures in
receipt of any SMS messages, as delivery is subject to transmission
from your network operator and processing by your mobile phone
device.
This SMS service is being provided for St John Ambulance by a
third party provider.
Data obtained from you in connection with this SMS service may
include your mobile number, your carrier's name and the date, the
time and content of your messages and other information that you
may provide.

Your data will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection

- we are required to do so by operation of law.
