Football first aid
This course has been developed for pupils in Key stage 2, 3 and
4 who have an interest in football and the relating
injuries which can arise from playing.
Teaching the topics identified on the ‘topic grid’ from the
Young first aider pack, will cover the necessary elements of
potential injuries and issues which could arise whilst playing
football.
We have produced three worksheets (with a set of
answers) which are specific to football which you can use
when delivering the topics of Bone, muscle and joint injuries and
Primary survey, there is also a football case studies worksheet
which focuses on a variety of situations which may occur on the
pitch.
Football first aid can be delivered by anyone with a Young first
aider pack and some basic first aid knowledge.
