Operational Cyclist

Our Operational Cyclists cover public
events from local sports and park occasions through to marches and
demonstrations, responding to any situations requiring first
aid.
Using bicycles allows our volunteers to reach people needing
medical assistance more effectively.
What does it involve?
Commitment
Extensive training in first aid and cycling experience are our
key requirements to be one of our Operational Cyclists. You can
state an interest in joining one of our Cycle Response
Units after completing your advanced first aid
training. We can provide advanced cycle training and operational
experience. There are more than 20 Cycle Response Units across
England.
Cycling as part of your volunteering in St John Ambulance is a great way to help the local community, whilst doing something you enjoy.
