First Aider

No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.

As a first aid volunteer you will be trained to a high standard to provide first aid treatment to patients at events covered by St John Ambulance in the community, at concerts, sports events etc. at local, regional and national level.

To apply please complete the online application form by 3rd April 2017.

Applicants will then be invited to attend an information session on  and, if successful, will join the unit to start training on 2nd May. Training will also take place on the following dates, you will need to be available on all of the dates:

  • 09/05/2017
  • 13/05/2017
  • 16/05/2017
  • 23/05/2017
  • 27/05/2017
  • 28/05/2017
  • 30/05/2017
  • 06/06/2017
  • 10/06/2017
  • 13/06/2017

If the date is on a Tuesday the training time will be 7.30pm - 9.30pm, if the training date is on a weekend the start time will be 9am - 5pm.

This role is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitations Offenders Act.
