First Aider (Buckinghamshire area)
First aid is such a simple skill, but it has an incredible impact. We want everyone to learn it, so that they can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.
We have the following opportunities available in your area:
Event First Aider: help us to keep the community safe while they work, rest and play by volunteering as a first aider at events.
We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us. Information about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions. What you can expect from SJA, and what we expect from those who volunteer with us, is included in the volunteering agreement.
Potential volunteering locations are: Meeting night and times:
Aylesbury adult unit Thursday 19.30–22.00
Beaconsfield adult unit Wednesday 19.30–21.30
Bletchley Adult unit Monday 19.45-21.45
High Wycombe adult unit Monday 19.30-21.15
Leighton Linslade adult unit Tuesday 20.00–22.00
Olney adult unit Monday 19.00-22.00 (fortnightly)
Wendover adult unit Monday 20.00–22.00
We will be running a volunteering selection session on:
- Saturday 22 April 2017, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
Successful candidates from the selection session will be expected to attend 5 days of first aid training. The course dates are scheduled for:
- Trainee First Aider course (two days) Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 May 2017, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
- Operational First Aider course (three days) Saturday 27, Sunday 28 May and Saturday 10 June 2017, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
