Volunteer Driver (North District)
No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.
St John Ambulance makes use of a large number of different vehicles of varying types and sizes. We have need of volunteer drivers who are prepared to drive our vehicles to and from first aid events, training courses, servicing and other activities.
If you are able to drive a car, van or minibus we could do with your help as a driver. This role will specifically not drive vulnerable people to or from places where they might receive healthcare.
Role specific requirements are:
- This Volunteer role requires a C1 - Full manual driving licence.
- You must be prepared to have a practical driving assessment conducted by a SJA driving assessor and to undertake an online driving theory assessment.
- This role will involve volunteering during daytime, evenings and/or weekends.
- This role could potentially be anywhere within the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire areas.

Closing date for this role is 11 March 2018. The Selection event is scheduled for approx. 3 hours, 17 March 2018, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
Mandatory training days are 2 June and 9 June, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire; unless you are a current holder of SJA Foundation for driving of ambulances and large vehicles.
