Event First Aider
Volunteering Opportunities in Humberside, the East Riding and North Yorkshire, this includes Hull, York and the surrounding areas.
First aid is such a simple skill, but it has an incredible impact. We want everyone to learn it, so that they can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved. We have the opportunities in this area to help us to keep the community safe while they work, rest and play by volunteering as a first aider at events.
We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us. Information about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions, what you can expect from SJA, and what we expect from those who volunteer with us, is included in the volunteer charter.
We will be running an information and selection event at St John Ambulance,Citadel Way, Hull on 14 April 2018 with opportunities to volunteer all over the Humberside and North Yorkshire area.
The training for those successful in this round of recruitment will take place on the 12 May & 2, 3, 23 & 24 June 2018 and you must be able to attend all five days to enable you to be successful. If you are not able to attend on these days then we will be offering further opportunities later in the year so please drop an email to North-East-HR@sja.org.uk to register your interest and keep looking for the opportunities as they appear on this website.
Please note: you will need to be able to attend Selection Event, Welcome Event & Training dates. The selection event will include a fitness assessment & a competency-based informal interview.
Closing date for these opportunities is: 1 April 2018
