Event First Aider (West District) - London
EVENT FIRST AIDER (WEST DISTRICT) LONDON
Volunteering opportunities in West London
First aid is such a simple skill, but it has an incredible impact. We want everyone to learn it, so that they can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved. We have vacancies for Event First Aiders in West London.
The role will help us to keep the community safe while they work, rest and play by volunteering as a first aider at events.
We will make sure you have access to a proper induction to volunteering with St John Ambulance (SJA) and the training you need for the role you take on. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us. Information about our volunteer roles is included in the role description, and what you can expect from SJA and what we expect from those who volunteer with us is included in the Volunteer Charte (Working with us).
You will need to attend the Selection Event, which includes a fitness assessment and a competency-based informal interview, which will be held on Saturday10 March 2018 in the morning.
Successful candidates will then be invited to attend the Welcome Event on Saturday 7 April from 2.00 pm – 7.00 pm, and then the 4-day training course which will be held from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm on 28 April, 29 April, 05 May and 12 May – you must be able to attend all 4 days of the training course.
The Selection Event, Welcome Event and training course will all be held in Central London.
Please note that by applying you are confirming that you will be able to make the advertised dates for the Selection, Welcome and Training events, and also your chosen Unit meeting nights. If this is not the case, then you may wish to apply in the future instead – we do advertise regularly.
