Here at St John Ambulance, our volunteers care passionately about saving lives. It’s our mission that nobody should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. We’re a reassuring presence at events across the country every single day of the year. What you don’t always see is that behind every St John Ambulance lifesaver is a dedicated team of volunteers who work in the background to keep our first aiders going. This role is absolutely crucial to providing those people with the kit and equipment they need to do their role. You’ll be a hugely important part of our lifesaving team yet you’ll probably never need to put your hands on a patient!
We are looking for a team of volunteer Logistics Officers in our Regional Logistics Hub located in Gosport, Hampshire. The Regional Logistics Hub supplies equipment, consumables and uniform to volunteers across the London & South Region so they can perform their roles.
This role would suit a volunteer who is available flexibly each week and could be available during office hours, evenings and/or weekends. The role will also offer you the opportunity, should you wish, to become involved in other parts of St John Ambulance such as setting up the Logistics for a large event or becoming involved in another function within the organisation.
You’ll have great people skills, be passionate about getting things right, delivering to tight deadlines and working as part of a team.
