Volunteering Opportunities - Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire

Volunteering Opportunities in Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire First aid is such a simple skill, but it has an incredible impact. We want everyone to learn it, so that they can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved. We have the following opportunities available in your area:

Event First Aider: help us to keep the community safe while they work, rest and play by volunteering as a first aider at events.

Youth Leadership team: train the next generation in first aid and other key life skills while having lots of fun by volunteering with our youth programmes.

•Event Doctor, Nurse or Paramedic: volunteer with us in a professional clinical capacity and gain an extra edge in your professional development (only open to registered healthcare professionals).

Potential volunteering locations are: ·

Lincolnshire:

  • Lincoln, Market Rasen, Sleaford, Spalding, Stamford, Boston, Gainsborough, Bourne. 

Nottinghamshire:

  • Gedling & Calverton, Hucknall, Mansfield, Newark, Nottingham (NG7 & NG9), Pinxton, Bilsthorpe, Worksop, Cotgrave.

We will make sure you will have access to a proper induction to volunteering with SJA and the training you need for the role you take on. We will also provide you with a supportive environment while you are volunteering with us.

Information about our volunteer roles are included in the role descriptions. What you can expect from SJA, and what we expect from those who volunteer with us, is included in the volunteer charter.

We will be running a Volunteering Selection session: 9am - 11.30am on Saturday 19 January 2019 at The Newark St John Ambulance building, 2 Telford Drive, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG24 2DX.

If you are successful at this selection session you will be required to remain for the welcome event later in the day. Welcome Event (Induction) – Saturday 19 January 2019 12.15pm - 5.00pm

For Event First Aiders - Training will be provided for you on a four day course delivered between 9am to 5pm at the Newark St John Ambulance building on the dates listed below:

•9th and 10th and 23rd and 24th February 2019 Please ensure when you complete your application you are available for all of the dates and times required and as listed above.

At each of the training days tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a pack lunch with you for each day.
