First Aider - Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire
No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.
As a first aid volunteer you will be trained to a high standard to provide first aid treatment to patients at events covered by St John Ambulance in the community, at concerts, sports events etc. at local, regional and national level.
No previous training is required – it will all be provided – we just look for a desire to help people and the readiness to deal with situations that can be distressing.
This role is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitations Offenders Act.

The closing date for this post is Friday 19th April 2019 and interviews will be held Sunday 28th April 2019.

You MUST be able to attend all of the following events to be considered successful in this role;
- Volunteering recruitment session will; be held on Sunday 28th April 2019 from 09.00am-11.30am at Newark St John Ambulance, 2 Telford Drive, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG24 2DX
- If at the recruitment session you & St John Ambulance agree that the role you volunteered for is the right one for you, you will be asked to remain for the Welcome event later the same day - 12.15pm to 17.00pm
- For individuals volunteering to be Event First Aiders, training will be provided for you on a four day course delivered between 9.00am & 17.00pm at the same building, on the dates listed below:- 11th, 12th, 18 & 19th May 2019 If, due to work or family commitments, you are unable to attend the above course dates, there may be an opportunity to attend alternative training courses on different dates & venues. Please advise your interviewer on the recruitment session if there are any issues attending the above course
