Unit Event Services Lead

No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.

We are seeking an enthusiastic volunteer to organise first aid event. The role holder will liaise with external event organisers and co-ordinate the resourcing and deployment of volunteers.  In addition, the successful candidate will co-ordinate unit participation for emergency response. 

Good communication and computer skills are essential for this role and the candidate should be trained as an event first aider or have previous experience.  You would be expected to ensure an Event Duty list is available for the weekly Training sessions for all 3 Area Units. There is specific training regarding the use of the Events Computer system which will be completed with the successful applicant at both unit and District level. You will be supported and managed by the Unit Manager however, you will be expected to liaise with District Teams on a regular basis to provide updates, but this will all be explained in more detail following successful recruitment.
