No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.
As a first aid volunteer you will be trained to a high standard to provide first aid treatment to patients at events covered by St John Ambulance in the community, at concerts, sports events etc. at local, regional and national level. We are looking for people in the following areas: Reading, Woodley, Maidenhead, Theale, Ascot, Bracknell.
No previous training is required – it will all be provided – we just look for a desire to help people and the readiness to deal with situations that can be distressing.
This role is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.

The closing date for this post is Sunday 26th May 2019 and interviews will take place on Sunday 2nd June at the St John Ambulance Headquarters, Church Road, Woodley, RG5 4QN. Lunch is not included. This will be an all-day event from 10am to 4pm. Please wear suitable casual and comfortable clothing as you will need to undertake a fitness for role test.
Following the interview, if you are shortlisted, you MUST be available to attend the Induction Session and Training. The Induction session is on Saturday 9th June 2019 - 10am – 3pm, at: St John Ambulance, Church Road, Woodley, RG5 4QN. The 4-day training course on 22, 23, 30th June, and 7th July 2019 (9am-5pm), at: St John Ambulance, Church Road, Woodley, RG5 4QN.Please wear suitable casual and comfortable clothing - lunch is not provided
