Unit Badger Lead

No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance (SJA) teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.

As a youth leader you will deliver development opportunities on behalf of SJA through one of our programmes for young people (Badgers). This will involve supporting young people alongside other youth leaders, youth support leaders and others. You will also take on responsibility for leading your youth section (Badgers) under a Unit Manager's direction.

Full training will be given for the role. All new applicants will be given a buddy in a similar role to help transition into the new role. This is a fantastic opportunity to help our youngest aspiring young first aider a transform into health care professionals and other careers. You will work alongside a team of committed volunteers and work with the district youth team to ensure the unit badger programme supports and develops our youngest volunteers.
