No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this. We are growing our amazing team of HCP’s in the following areas and need people who can commit to volunteering in our community. We have vacancies for all levels of HCP’s in the following areas:- Lincoln, Sleaford, Stamford & Spalding in Lincolnshire & Nottingham, Calverton, Hucknall, Pinxton, Mansfield, Worksop, Newark & Sherwood Forest (Bilsthorpe) in Nottinghamshire. We are seeking Event Doctors, Nurses & Paramedics to respond and manage emergency calls/incidents at events which may include venues such as stadia, concert halls, motorsports tracks, road races etc. Event doctors shall provide specialist, clinical, social and holistic care while undertaking clinical assessment and interventions in the pre-hospital environment. Successful Event Paramedic candidates will be registered Paramedics with the HCPC and be able to provide evidence of CPD activity within the previous 12 months.
If you are shortlisted, you will be required to have a clinical discussion with a member of our clinical team, followed by attendance at a Welcome Day. In addition, if you and our clinical team agree a need to undertake our First Aid training course, this will be an additional four days training over two weekends, dates will be available at your Welcome day. If you do not already hold an ILS or ALS certificate, you may be offered the opportunity to complete further clinical training with St John.

We will be running several information events locally and these are: - Selection Event: Held on Saturday 31st August 2019 from 09.00 to 11.30 at Newark St John Ambulance, 2 Telford Drive, Newark If at the recruitment session you & St John Ambulance agree the role you volunteered for is the right one for you. You will be asked to remain the Welcome Event later the same day. - Welcome/Induction Event: Held on Saturday 31st August 2019 from 12.15 to 17.00 at Newark St John Ambulance, 2 Telford Drive, Newark (Same day as Selection Event).
If due to work or family commitments, you are unable to attend the above course dates, there may be an opportunity to attend alternative training courses on different dates & venues. Please advise your interviewer on the recruitment session if there are any issues attending the above course.
