No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.
We are seeking volunteer Podiatrists to lead and treat on outreach shifts providing specialist, clinical, social and holistic care to our homeless clients.
Training will be given in Homelessness Awareness and additional first aid as desired. Attendance at training meets are also desirable.
Ideally new volunteers need to commit to at least 4 hours a month for a minimum of 6 months.
The Brighton Homeless Service runs three clinics a week providing free healthcare to rough sleepers and the vulnerably housed of Brighton and Hove. Foot care is a particularly high priority for rough sleepers and as such we receive a lot of demand for podiatry services.
Successful candidates will be registered Podiatrists with the HCPC. If you are successfull at shortlisting you will need to bring your ID for a DBS check to be completed at interview.
The closing date for this vacancy is: Monday 20th May 2019
Interviews will be held on: Tuesday 28th May 2019
