to car accidents, weather incidents and fires.

Training courses
Last year we trained
325,000 first aiders
to cope with first aid emergencies both at work and in the
home.

where people can put their first aid skills to the test.
Community first responders
Our Community First Responder
volunteers are trained to attend emergency calls received by the
ambulance service and provide care until the ambulance arrives.
Transport services
We provide a range of patient transport
services, transferring patients to a wide range of
non-emergency medical appointments such as admissions to and
discharge from hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and other medical
facilities.
Young people
More than half of our 40,000+ volunteers are under the age of
25. We have a vibrant new programme for our young people.
We're also active in schools teaching children life saving
skills.
