The Young Grand Prior Competition

Young Grand Prior Winners

The Young Grand Prior First Aid Challenge is a UK wide competition for teams of young people from industry, voluntary youth organisations and schools.

The winners of the 2011 Young Grand Prior Trophy are Chorley Jubilee Quad from Lancashire. They competed against 10 youth teams from across the UK to take the Jill Scott Trophy.

The winners of the Young Adult trophy, the Cambridge Cup are St Andrew’s First Aid Bilston Glen.

There are two events: Young Grand Prior and Young Adult Grand Prior. The competition is held in conjunction with the ‘UK Championship for the Grand Prior Trophy’ and takes place on the day after that event.

This competition improves the practical first aid skills of young people by providing a safe environment for them to test their knowledge and skills with a series of realistic accidents and injuries.

It brings together teams of young people who represent both national and voluntary youth organisations and industries.

We welcome and encourage teams from all youth organisations.

The Young Grand Prior team participants must be aged 10 to 17 on the day of the competition. The Young Adult Grand Prior teams should be aged over 16 but under 24 on the day of the competition. All teams may bring a reserve.
