Schools & Community Trainer
About the Role
As a Schools and Community Trainer, you will train school children, school staff and members of youth and community groups in the benefits and techniques of delivering First Aid. As part of your role, you will actively promote St John Ambulance, courses, and volunteering opportunities including all commercial and non-commercial training products and services. You will also help support teacher-led delivery of first aid in schools using St John Ambulance resources.
You will be a strong communicator and have the ability to engage with groups of adults and children to deliver First Aid training.
Ideally, you will have had experience in training young people before, however, you must have a level 3 training qualification.
St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, providing first aid, keeping people safe at events and working alongside the NHS in response to 999 calls. Much of our front-line delivery is provided by our dedicated and highly-trained volunteers.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people, many of them under 18, also learn how to save a life through our training, education and youth programmes.
