World Cup Sweepstakes
With the 2014 World Cup kicking off on 12
June, we are joining the football fever by running an exclusive
World Cup Sweepstakes with our online partner, Guess2Give.
There is an enticing pooled prize fund on
offer for the grand prize, second and third prize winners. A
percentage of every entry will be donated to us to help put first
aiders in communities across the country (up to £2.40, including
Gift Aid, for every £3 entry).
How it works
Those taking part pay £3 online and get a team
randomly allocated to them. If their team wins then they enter a
lottery where first, second and third prize winners are picked to
take home their winnings. The prize fund grows with every person
who takes part, so get your friends, family, and colleagues

First aid saved Bolton
Wanderers star Fabrice Muamba’s life when he collapsed at White
Hart Lane in 2012. St John Ambulance first aiders have been a
familiar and reassuring matchday sight for fans for over a century.
By taking part in the World Cup 2014 Super Sweepstake, you’re
helping us to continue our life saving work on the ground
and in communities nationwide.
What is this?
It’s an online sweepstake for the 2014 World
Cup, in support of St John Ambulance. Think of it like a sweepstake
you might do among friends or colleagues, but being held online so
nobody has to run around with slips of paper with team names on it
to organise everything.
How does it work?
If you’re over 18, you can go onto
Guess2Give and buy an entry for £3. The more people that enter,
the bigger the prizes will be. The process is fully automated
online, so you can set up an account and enter the sweepstake
within a few minutes.
Why are we doing this?
We have a long association with football,
providing first aid cover to hundreds of matches across the
country, every season. We’re using the sweepstake to raise funds to
support our life saving work.
Won’t there be more than one winner if only 32 teams are taking
part? What if everyone picks the winning team?
When the sweepstake closes, the grand prize
will be randomly allocated to one of the entries
which holds the winning team.
Is this gambling?
Yes it is. It is only open to people over the
age of 18. Both St John Ambulance and our sweepstake provider,
Guess2Give, have full and current Gambling Licenses.
