Save a Life September 2014 has been the biggest
and best yet
This Save a Life September has
seen almost 300 events take place nationwide, with
thousands of members of the public coming along and picking up
vital first aid tips.
First aid demonstrations across the nation
Throughout last month, our committed volunteers have given
free first aid demonstrations in central areas
within communities across the country. These have ranged from
shopping centres to schools, holiday camps to housing associations
– there was even a custard factory in the mix.
Thousands of people came along to our demonstrations and
we’d like to thank each and every one of them.
We’d also like to thank some special guests who helped draw
attention to our events - from the Town Crier in
Shrewsbury to Lady Godiva in Coventry –
highlighting the fact that anyone can learn the basic
skills needed to save a life.
Over the month we’ve given away around 150,000 free
first aid guides so that, in an emergency, more people
than ever can be the difference between a life lost and a life
Learn first aid
First aid is a vital skill and, in just a few minutes,
anyone can learn how to stop a friend choking or
how to keep a loved one alive until an ambulance arrives.
Learning to save lives isn't just for September though. Whether
you made it to an event or not - we have lots of great first aid advice, videos and an interactive game to help you
learn or brush up your skills so that you too
could save a life.
