St John Ambulance to join forces with Babcock International Group

Students learn first aid skills

Today we’re delighted to announce the launch of our brand new partnership with Babcock International Group.

Over the next two years, Babcock’s Support Services Division will support our lifesaving work through financial support of some of our projects and by involving employees in a range of exciting fundraising activities.

Equipping thousands with life saving skills

This partnership will help us to create a new generation of lifesavers by enabling us to train thousands of school children in first aid. We also hope to expand our RISE project, aimed at teaching first aid and life skills to disadvantaged young people not in employment, education or training (NEETs).

Our CEO, Sue Killen said: ‘Every year, thousands of people die in situations where first aid could have given them a chance to live. We’re really excited about the launch of our new partnership with Babcock. Through working as a team over the next two years, our organisations will ensure more people can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.’

Kevin Thomas, CEO of Babcock International Group’s Support Services Division, said: ‘We are delighted to be developing a close association that will benefit both organisations. Working with St John Ambulance will enable Babcock employees to not only give back to their communities, but also to help St John Ambulance empower more people with the most important skills they could have – the skills to save lives.’
