Cadets can participate in over seventy different subjects from eight different arms of the St John Ambulance Amalfi cross.

Communications

This section improves your communication skills, and helps you to understand others by speaking to them using radios, and using other methods such as sign language,  IT and listening skills.

This section helps you become more aware of your surroundings, from accident prevention to fundraising. It is here to help you understand more about your community.

From entertainment to photography, get creative with this section. Learn about crafts and music, and how they can help you in every day life.

Lifestyle

Ever fancied knowing about different faiths, nutrition, and your family history? If so, this is the subject to look at. It covers everything from complimentary therapies to finance.

The Cadet programme  - Amalfi Challenge

Older Cadets (from the age of 16 years) can take part in the Amalfi Challenge. Based around the four arms of the St John Ambulance Amalfi Cross, this personal development programme is designed to provide you with a framework to set yourself challenges. Amalfi award badgeYou set yourself four challenges (for example, from running a Badger Sett to completing a marathon) within the sections of society, relationships, service and challenge, and complete them in your own time. Once you have completed all twelve challenges you receive the Amalfi Award.
