About the Role
This is an opportunity to train as a St John Trainer and you will be responsible for delivering a variety of training courses to our workplace and community training customers. Due to our wide range of clients, no training course should ever be the same, and you will deal with people from all backgrounds with different learning styles.
As a Trainee Trainer, you will undertake the trainee trainer programme with the aim of becoming a St John Ambulance Trainer. You will develop your own subject and professional competence whilst working towards a Level 3 Training Qualification. Key responsibilities in this role include; running assigned training courses in accordance with training received, ensuring all equipment used is fit for purpose, cleaned and stored correctly, developing relationships with other staff and volunteers to ensure high standards of training and demonstrating knowledge and commitment to the organisation’s values, mission, vision and objectives.
This is a rewarding opportunity and will give you the chance to teach lifesaving skills to others and empower them to save lives in a wide range of situations. No two days are the same as an SJA Trainer and you will play a key role in our goal of helping us to deliver first aid to everyone that needs it.

About You
You need to be able to stand up and talk to a group of people with confidence, however training and support will be given and there is an expectation that you will undertake course work and assignments. You must have the ability to remain passionate and engaging while delivering a training syllabus and have the expertise to deliver the content at the right pace for the training groups, as often these training courses can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.
