What's involved

About the Role

St John Ambulance and the NHS are working in partnership to prepare young people to become health volunteers.

As Youth Support Worker, you will deliver sessions to young people involved with the NHS Cadet Programme. The sessions delivered will provide development to young people’s citizenship and will focus on a desire to work or volunteer in an NHS role in the future. You will work closely with a Programme Lead and other Support Workers to develop appropriate content and to adapt the delivery of this programme to the individual needs of the young people on your programme.

As part of an NHS Cadet Youth Team, you’ll help create a safe, inclusive and open environment where young people can learn important life skills to prepare them for health volunteering.

If you’re interested in working with young people to realise their potential in health volunteering, join our NHS Cadet Youth Team.

This post is a 3 hours fixed term until the 31st August 2021 and will be required on one evening a week and some weekends.
