David Walters

Unit Training Lead, University of London Union Group

David clocked up an incredible 628 volunteering hours last year. Alongside weekly meetings, he fits in driving vehicles for events, delivering regular training courses, running training sessions and supporting preparation sessions for Care Quality Commission inspections. He’s an integral part of the unit meeting nights, and the improvements he has made to the training provided have led to the highest ever membership in the First Aid Society at University of London Union.

Luis Sellmeyer - WINNER

During his two years as Unit Manager for University of London Union Unit, Luis has grown his unit to over 120 active volunteers. He embodies the very best of St John Ambulance and represents those countless volunteers who work tirelessly, not just on the front line, but behind the scenes, giving others the support they need. Following his graduation from university, he has recently moved on to become an Area Manager.
