Award Finalists | St John Ambulance Everyday Heroes

2017 finalists and winners

St John Ambulance are pleased to announce the finalists for the 2017 Everyday Heroes supported by Laerdal Medical. Click on the category for further information about each finalist.

Special Commendations:

Special commendations were awarded to Tony Davis and Tobias Ellwood MP for their actions during the Westminster Terror Attack.

During the attack, as shots rang out in London, Tony Davis and Tobias Ellwood MP selflessly forgot about any potential danger to their lives in order to try to save another. Tony jumped a fence to reach PC Keith Palmer and began performing CPR before Tobias Ellwood MP took over. Tony, an ex-serviceman, and Tobias Ellwood MP showed true bravery and had the necessary skills and confidence to know what to do in that situation. Sadly, PC Keith Palmer’s life could not be saved, but Tony Davis and MP Tobias Ellwood attempt to save Palmer’s life deserves huge credit.
