The Volunteer Hero award

The Volunteer Hero award recognises the impact individual St John volunteers have had on their fellow volunteers and their communities.

The criteria includes St John volunteers who have:

  • improved patient outcomes, either through their actions saving a life or relieving pressure on NHS services
  • had a positive impact on our people, either our adult volunteers or young people, supporting their development and resilience
  • had a positive impact on their community and their resilience to cope with health crisis.

Out of the Volunteer Hero award winners, one individual will be awarded Volunteer of the Year.
