The Young Hero award

The Young Hero award recognises a young person or group of young people, under the age of 18, who have used first aid to save a life or have made an extraordinary first aid achievement.

 The criteria includes young people who have: 
  • used first aid to save a life
  • fundraised or campaigned for better first aid provisions and has resulted in a positive outcome
  • held a workshop or demonstration to teach first aid skills to other members of a community  
  • used first aid to support another person with a long-term condition.
