How to set up your Open Garden (Virtually)
You will need to decide how you want to share your garden depending on government guidelines in your area. You can do it virtually or open it to the public, both are really easy to do, just follow our simple steps below.
- Using a good camera(this can be on a high specification phone), go out in your garden and film your favourite areas. You can add commentary verbally or add it as text later. If using a phone ensure you film in landscape.
- Once you have done your filming and are happy with the video, send it to us at email@example.com and we can upload it to our Community Fundraising YouTube page – this will create a link for you to use on your JustGiving page.
- Log on to JustGiving and set a page up. You can add the link we send you to the banner of the page so, when people click on your page they can view the video!
Share the JustGiving link with all your friends and family, asking them to share it with anyone they may know who would be interested in seeing your garden. You can also post it on local community groups to try and encourage more people to view it and donate to us
