In partnership with NHS trusts and other high profile organisations, St John Ambulance transports patients in emergency and non-emergency situations whilst applying a high level of compassionate patient care.
Due to the nature of this role successful candidates must have the ability to work in an emergency ambulance environment and have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, as well as being able to work as part of a team.
Duties and responsibilities will include responding to emergency and non-emergency calls, providing the highest level and quality of patient care to those in need during events.
It is essential that all applicants hold a full valid UK driving licence for 2 years (minimum). Previous experience of ambulance work is essential.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) declaration and undergo a pre-employment driving and lifting assessment (offer of a contract is dependent on passing these assessments).
Hours of work: 40 hours per week
Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire
Rate of pay: Training Rate £7.50ph, Probation Rate £8.50ph, Qualified Rate £8.96ph
