Health & Safety Advisor

About the Role

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will work closely with the Health, Safety and Environment team to ensure all our patients and St John People are safe. You will be responsible for maintaining professional standing within relevant professional bodies with a key focus on primary and statutory legislation, applicable industry best practice, risk reduction and compliance.

The Health and Safety Advisor will provide competent, professional business focused and risk based advice to senior management enabling them to carry out their duties with regard to health, safety and the environment. You will manage the activities of local health and safety officers and carry out health, safety and environment investigations as necessary in pursuit of reducing incidents of injury, ill health or damage to SJA assets or staff.

About You

You will ideally have experience of working in a health and safety related position with knowledge of conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and monitoring of requirements. You will also have up to date knowledge of good practice and the relevant statutory requirements coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all organisational levels.
