Heat exhaustion is caused by a loss of salt
and water from the body and is usually a result of sweating
excessively. If not treated, heat exhaustion can lead to more
serious conditions like heatstroke.
You should treat someone who is suffering from
heat exhaustion quickly.
This first aid teaching module will help your
students to understand and look out for the signs of heat
exhaustion and how to apply basic first aid to help someone who is
showing signs of heat exhaustion.
The lesson plan includes suggested timed
activities to help students learn how to prevent heat exhaustion
and how to treat it, with more information in the presentation.
