If somebody is unresponsive and not breathing,
they will need cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Help should be
requested quickly, and a defibrillator sought.
CPR involves a combination of chest
compressions and rescue breaths, to keep the casualty's heart
and circulation going.
This teaching module shows students how to
identify a life-threatening situation where someone has stopped
breathing and needs to have cardiopulmonary resuscitation
The lesson plan will help students learn
how and when to perform CPR.
This lesson is aimed at students who are
already familiar with the primary survey.
