The Regional Youth Development Officer role is complex and challenging so the successful candidate will be a proactive youth leader with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to manage complex change well, and continually focus on the delivery of consistently high quality results.

The Regional Youth Officer, Development will assist the Regional Youth Lead, Development; District teams and the Regional Youth Manager to increase the number of young people who volunteer by ensuring effective implementation of youth recruitment, youth advocacy and youth projects. 

The youth team have 4 vacancies for Regional Youth Development Officers in the London and South Region.

 

The team are looking for volunteers to assist with a variety of functions on the team. To achieve this, there are 4 vacancies focusing primarily on the following areas:

 

Vacancy 1 - Communication

– We are looking for someone to help with youth communications, including doing a newsletter, promoting youth events, developing new methods of communication etc.

 

Vacancy 2 - Youth Leader training

– We are looking for someone to coordinate the courses and assist with training them etc.

 

Vacancy 3 - Peer Education

– We are looking for someone to oversee the Peer Education programme across the region.

 

Vacancy 4 - Youth Participation

– We are looking for someone to oversee the Regional Youth Forum and participation opportunities for young people across the region

 

The actual tasks will be agreed with the post holder.

Closing date is 12 March 2018, and the provisional interview date is Saturday 17 or Sunday 18 March 2018 at Guildford, however as these are volunteer posts different interview dates can be arranged if required.
