Youth Support Leader - South Lincolnshire
No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.
Would you like to help the youth of today become the life savers of tomorrow? We are currently recruiting people for units in South Lincolnshire who have an interest in helping young people develop and reach their potential. Our Badgers are aged 7 to 10 years and our Cadets are aged 11 to 18 years. We offer a full and varied programme to our young volunteers and are looking for people who would like to support us in achieving this. Full training & support will be offered to successful applicants
As a volunteer working with young people you will help the SJA youth mission by providing children and young people with developmental opportunities to help them achieve their full potential. This is done with an emphasis on being led by the views and aspirations of our young volunteers and with a commitment to equality of opportunity for every young person who wishes to get involved.
Youth Leaders and Youth Support Leaders volunteer to deliver an inclusive and accessible Youth programme, within SJA youth policies, procedures and guidelines, which meet the aspirations and needs of young people and requirements of the programme. They work in partnership with the Unit Manager, Youth Helpers and Young Leaders.
This role is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitations Offenders Act and as such as Enchanced DBS check will be obtained.
