District Logistics Officer

Do you ever wonder how the equipment arrives at large events or who makes sure that first aid kits have just the right number of bandages in them?
Do you ever think about the planning that goes into making sure the right piece of equipment ends up in the right place at the right time to enable our fantastic first aiders, ambulance crew and HCPs to be ‘the difference’?
No one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. St John Ambulance teaches people first aid so they can be the difference between life and death, and you can help us do this.
North Region are looking for a District Logistics Officer. With a growing Events business the role of the Logistics team is to ensure that all volunteers have the equipment needed to be the difference in their communities. This will be covering Cheshire West and Merseyside areas.
The role will require you to liaise with the District and Regional Events and Logistics functions to provide Logistics support to major Events, and develop a team to assist with this role. You will also liaise with the Regional Logistics Hub to ensure that equipment is ordered and delivered to Units as required, and maintain emergency stocks within your District.
You will also be expected to help out with the Radio Communications team on events so this makes it a great opportunity to gain more expreience in other aspects of the organisation.
