Fundraising Manager (Face to Face - National Operations)

About Us

St John Ambulance is the nation’s leading first aid charity. Every year, 400,000 people learn how to save a life through our training programmes, including hundreds of thousands of young people. First aid is such a simple skill, but it has an incredible impact. We want everyone to learn it, so that they can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.

To achieve this, we provide a wide range of products and services to the community such as our workplace and community training, first aid support at events and our vital work with the emergency services with our ambulance operations. We generate around £100m per annum which we reinvest in delivering and campaigning for better access to first aid for everyone. By doing this, we can give people access to important skills that they wouldn’t otherwise get the chance to learn.

We are also passionate about campaigning to raise awareness of first aid so that everyone has access to life-saving knowledge through our award-winning ad campaigns such as "The Chokeables" which is credited with saving at least 54 babies lives and recently won the Charity Film of the Year Award 2017.

About the Role

Fundraising is an important part of achieving our goals and helping to save lives. We are growing and developing our Fundraising presence and creating a greater emphasis on putting Fundraising at the forefront of our income generation activities, and we need a strong, focussed, experienced and dynamic team to support this progression.

We are currently looking for a Face to Face Fundraising Manager to join our fundraising team and take operational lead on all face to face fundraising activities, nationwide. This is an highly important role, that is intergral to the success of our Fundraising strategy. You will manage the relationship with multiple third party suppliers for Door to Door and Private site fundraising. You will have the opportunity to identify and develop new opportunities in this area of fundraising, ensuring that we maximise our value for money in Face to Face fundraising and develop and drive a vision for growth.

 

About you

Ideally, you will have experience of developing and maintaining relationships with third party agencies as well as working with large budgets. You will also managed projects previously as this will form a large part of the role. This could have been in a relationship manager role where you were also responsible for training and development of third party employees.

You will have the skillset to develop and deliver training to individual fundraisers and groups and ideally, you will have a good knowledge of face to face fundraising codes and rules.
