Katie PiperWe're delighted to announce that Katie Piper will be hosting our annual awards ceremony, Everyday Heroes, in September 2017. The TV presenter and best-selling author, who has just announced that she is pregnant with her second child, is an advocate for first aid as she believes in the importance of having lifesaving skills as a parent, as well as from her own experience as an acid attack survivor.

Katie said:

'I feel honoured to be hosting the St John Ambulance Everyday Heroes Awards this year, I know from personal experience how important it can be to know what to do in a first aid emergency and act quickly.

'First aid’s a simple skill, but it has an incredible impact and St John Ambulance has lots of free resources on their website to help you learn these life saving skills so please make the time to look or do a training course, it could save someone’s life.

'I’m looking forward to meeting all of the inspiring finalists and hearing their stories. It’s going be an incredible evening.'

The annual Everyday Heroes Awards, supported by Laerdal, the creators of the Resusci Anne training manikin, celebrates the nation’s life savers – ordinary people who’ve done extraordinary things through first aid. The star-studded awards will be held at the Hilton London Bankside on 28th September.
